Together with English, German was the main subject of my academic studies. I studied German both as an undergraduate and as a graduate student, and I am currently a PhD researcher at UCL in English and German Comparative Literature.

In addition to my studies, I have worked as a German to English translator both in Italy and in London. In 2011-2012, I was hired by the international sport organisation IFFHS (www.iffhs.de/) as a translator of many football-related texts which were later published on the company website. For IFFHS, I also translated official documents and internal letters.

Starting from 2013, I have been working for UCL Professor Dr Maria-Novella Mercuri as a German to English translator and proof-reader. With Dr Mercuri, I am currently working on a soon-to-be-published essay on Edith Wharton and her German literary influences.
