I studied English and translation in the prestigious Department of European Languages and Literature of the University of Pisa (Italy) from 2006 to 2012. During the 2008-2009 academic year, I studied at King's College London (KCL) as an Erasmus student.

My BA degree thesis focused on the translation from English to Italian of the short story "A Short History of Hairdressing" by Booker Prize winner author Julian Barnes. The short story had never been published in Italy before.

In June 2011, I was awarded my TOEFL certificate. As is possible to read on my degree certificate (see the attached document at the bottom of the page), I managed to pass all the relevant tests with the highest marks.

In September 2012 I moved to London, where I am currently a researcher in English and German Literature at UCL.
