As a student and researcher in the field of literature, I have always been interested in writing and storytelling. I have been writing short stories in English and Italian since I was a high school student, and I now publish a story per week on my blog Meet Michael Floyd.

In 2002 and 2004, while still in Italy, I won the first prize in the "Cesare De Titta" literary contest held in Lanciano (CH). The two short stories I wrote, "Alessandro" and "La speranza di Karim", were published in two anthologies edited by the award's curators.

In 2007-2008, I have successfully attended the prestigious Sagarana Creative Writing Course in Pistoia (Italy). The course allowed me to meet experienced and famous writers like Julio Monteiro Martins, and was extremely helpful in the development of my writing skills.
